Randall Olson, also known as Randy, is a founding partner of MTI Business Solutions, which was established in 2003 as Mobile Technical Institute. With a strong background in management and leadership roles within the post-secondary education industry, Randy now serves clients across the Gulf Coast, specializing in employee development and operational procedures.
Randy possesses extensive expertise in personality profiling, particularly in the areas of employee communication, management-to-employee dynamics, and organizational leadership interactions. He holds certifications as a trainer for Everything DiSC™, The 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™, and ServSafe Food Protection Manager. With over 25 years of experience in adult, corporate, and continuing education, Randy is frequently invited to speak at development conferences and other professional associations.
Furthermore, Randy is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He generously volunteers his training services to the Baldwin Veterans Court System and actively participates in various professional associations, further enhancing his industry knowledge and network.
A few words from Randy
Hey there! Let me take you back to 2009 when I first started teaching the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager course. Back then, classes were only offered once a month, which left new owners feeling stuck in their journey to open their businesses. Determined to make a difference, I decided to shake things up and began offering the course every other week in Mobile, AL.
Fast forward 13+ years, and I'm still going strong, teaching the class with the same passion and excitement every other Wednesday. I can honestly say that I still have a blast doing it!
In 2022, I made a bold move and closed down the traditional classroom. Instead, I started bringing the course directly to my clients' locations. This change allowed me to cater to individuals who needed certification on their own schedule, whether it was one-on-one or in group settings. Interestingly, I noticed that participants became more focused and less stressed when they had their own personal tutor by their side.
I genuinely love teaching this class and diving into the subject matter. We always manage to have a good laugh because the restaurant industry has its own unique culture. Learning becomes an enjoyable experience for all of us!
